L-carnitine is an essential cofactor of lipid metabolism found in living tissues, particularly the heart and skeletal muscles, where it is involved in cellular energy production so that it benefits for normal heart and skeletal muscle functions. L-isoleucine and L-phenylalanine increase levels of endorphins in the brain and helps to reduce pain, particularly associated with muscle fatigue and cramping. Also recommended specially for dairy cows to prevent considerable L-carnitine losses that cannot be compensated by endogenous synthesis caused by the sudden onset of milking.
